The McPherson Optimist Club organizes and funds the annual Easter Egg Hunt held at Grant Sports Complex.
Sunny skies, but a chilly North wind, welcomed the kids to the 2018 edition of the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Even though the conditions were not ideal, the crowd of kids was energetic and quite large. As usual, the kids (and their parents!) were able to find plenty of great candy. We'll see you all next year!
The move to Grant Park for the 2017 Easter Egg Hunt caused some
anxiety. It was the first time we tried the North end
of town, far away from the central location of Lakeside Park, and the
goose droppings that created concerns for the safety of the kids.
However, the move turned out to be a very good one! The new venue
allowed for a safer environment and easier crowd control. The parents
and kids came out in droves, and this year's hunt was a huge success.
The Mac High Softball team again helped distribute the eggs and the Easter
Bunny was there to greet the kids.
Sunshine and cool conditions led to a large crowd at the annual Optimist Club Easter Egg Hunt at Lakeside Park. We had a nice turnout of Optimist Club members as well as help from the High School Girl's Softball Team to toss the eggs for the kids. What a great way to help the city celebrate the Easter Holiday!
This year's Optimist Easter Egg hunt was really a lot of fun! The weather was great and the crowd was huge! Here are some photos from this year's event, which was held at Lakeside Park.
